Bookme Terms of Service

Definitions

  • Customer: A user who creates an account on Bookme to provide booking services to their own clients. Customers may also add additional team members (staff or assistants) to manage their services.
  • Client: An individual who books an appointment through a Customer’s Bookme page or widget.
  • Services: The features and functionalities provided by Bookme for scheduling, communication, and integration.
  • Platform: The Bookme software-as-a-service platform accessible through www.bookme.store.

These Terms of Service ('Agreement') govern your use of the Bookme platform, operated by Red Ocean B.V. (KvK: 92418201), registered in the Netherlands ('Bookme,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our').

By using Bookme, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy.

1. Overview of Services

Bookme is a SaaS platform that provides appointment scheduling services to independent professionals and SMBs. Customers can create a booking page, integrate a widget on their own websites, and optionally connect payment services via Stripe.

2. Account Creation

  • Provide your first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
  • Maintain accurate and current information.
  • Be at least 18 years old.

Each customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

3. Pricing and Plans

  • Free Tier: For solo professionals with up to 20 bookings per week.
  • Paid Tier: €40/month for customers exceeding 20 bookings or operating as a team.

Stripe transaction fees apply only if Stripe is activated for receiving payments. All fees are non-refundable.

4. Use of Google Calendar API

  • Access your email address and public profile info
  • Write booking events to your calendar (title, time, client info)

We do not read or copy existing Google calendar events into Bookme. Access is secured via OAuth with scoped permissions and encrypted tokens.

We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to third parties for purposes other than those outlined in this Privacy Policy.

5. Restrictions

  • Reverse engineer or modify the platform
  • Use Bookme for unlawful or abusive purposes
  • Circumvent service limitations or quotas

6. Data Handling

  • You retain ownership of all data submitted through Bookme.
  • We store customer and client data for 6 months unless otherwise deleted.
  • Use DigitalOcean as our hosting provider.
  • Encrypt data in transit and at rest.
  • Do not share your or your clients’ data with third parties except as required by law or expressly consented.

6a. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bookme shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the platform.

6b. Warranty Disclaimer

The Bookme platform is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6c. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, power failures, internet disruptions, or governmental actions.

6d. Subscription Renewal and Billing

The €40/month paid plan is billed monthly and renews automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time, and the service will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

7. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Upon cancellation, you can export your data for 30 days.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be handled by the courts in the Netherlands.

9. Data Processing Addendum

We act as a data processor on behalf of our customers who act as data controllers under the GDPR. The Data Processing Addendum applies
